So...I went from books reviews to shit MTV reviews...sorry that escalated so quickly. Anyways, Underemployed is MTV's newest baby. It may seem like a lame attempt by MTV to make another awesome like Awkward. It is. Unfortunately. Now, I decided to check out the TV show after the promos made it look so damn hilarious. I mean calling a cashier a bitch and calling an environmental guy a lesbian, how can this fall? It failed in every way possible.
The episode opens some girl who Wikipedia tells me is named Sophia voicing-over talking about how them and her friends thought life after graduation would be so peachy-keen. It then cuts to about a year later when all of them have terrible jobs. There's about three jokes in the episode and that's it.
A few minutes in, there's this guy who apparently got his girlfriend knocked up or something, I don't exactly know. Then, there's this other guy who like, asks out some girl or something. They kiss in the park later or something...it's just kind of hard to follow or remember.
The premiere is about an hour long but I couldn't even finish 30 minutes of this terrible, terrible show. It had so much potential! I was looking forward to it and it brought me so fricking down. I don't think, or recommend, Underemployed to you and think you should just pass. If you want a quality MTV show watch Awkward. or The Inbetweeners. They're so much better. The final score is a C-. It didn't make me laugh since they spoiled all the jokes in the promos, it's forgettable and you got like 12 characters who are never introduced or anything. Like fricking New Year's Eve, the movie by the way. Sorry, this review is so short, I mean there's nothing more I can say about this abomination.
